Off the Mark is a long-term series which moves from an intimate and personal reflection about the relationship between human and nature. It depicts mysterious places at times occupied by a number of installations addressing a sense of inquietude and ambiguity. In his pictures Diego draws a space in which the human element is blended with the natural in a strange and mysterious way and in which ribbons, trees, roots and rocks are primarily a status of mind.
Diego Brambilla is an Italian artist, based in Zürich, Switzerland. His work is an intimate and personal reflection on the relationship between human and nature. He blends real and imaginary, stages fictional scenarios, and experimentally combines photography with installations and sculptures. Diego’s pictures are dry and essential: they are inward landscapes, states of mind, atmospheres full of mystery and uneasiness, distance and solitude.
