Olga Zarko: Touching the Summer

Bodies during summer time are opened and cover with marks, left by sun, water, rocks or clothes. Whose influence is this? Is that just laws of physics or person’s decision to interact with environment?

A poetic research and story about how summer plays with the skin and leaves on it temporary drawings, gradients, textures and patterns, adds new shades, underlines something we would rather hide, revels it and changes us outside for a short period. Knowing that it would pass soon helps us not to be vulnerable about it and we gladly accept transformations made by the elements. Human and nature are inseparably connected. Everyone can observe the impact of each other on the personal level and find a simple way to one’s corporeality as well as better understanding of ourselves and others. Photos in this series deprived of personalization and together create a portrait of human during the summer time.
