Kamil Nureev: Life on the Edge of the Earth

Work on this project began in March 2016. In this series of photographs shows the life of the nomads people living in difficult climatic conditions of Siberia. The Yamal Peninsula is the place which in Nenets language means “the ends of the Earth”. The indigenous population of this region – the Nenets. Since ancient times, these people lead a nomadic way of life on a deer farm, travelling through the vast tundra. In our day nothing has changed. They wander in a harsh environment where winter lasts 8 months of the year. The deer give them food, clothing, housing and money. Work on this project will be continued, I want to bring out their culture, lifestyle and traditions. In the completed edition of the book about life on the edge of the earth.
