Alexei Sovertkov was born in 1974 in Smolensk, Russia. Now he is based in Moscow. Since 2004 he works as commercial and editorial photographer. Cooperated with leading advertising agencies and magazines. Also participated in several contemporary art projects as well as been exhibited in art galleries. Now Alexei is focusing on conceptual fine art photography.
Says Alexei: Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise.
