Says Amélie : I like to wander in the middle of market stalls. The fruits glued to one another are to me like works of art in motion before which we pass yet without stopping. Every fruit I work with is first carefully observed. I turn around, I manipulate, I taste, I take possession. Then I stage it in an enclosed space where light flows gently and slowly on its forms. My colors are close to the earth and the sky to find a perfect harmony with nature.
In these photographs, I seek a serenity in the art of observation. When I compose my still lifes time stops and silence sets in. I find a form of wisdom that cuts me off from the rest of the world.
